Videoton could finally clinch the title on Wednesday

Sunday's 2-2 draw away at Honved meant that Gyorgy Mezey's side have to wait a little longer before they are crowned league champions. Despite racing into an early 2-0 lead, thanks to goals from Alves and Gosztonyi, Honved got back into the match and levelled inside the first half. Now the attention switches to the midweek games, with second placed Paks making the tricky journey to relegation threatened Siofok on Tuesday. Anything less than a win for Karoly Kiss's side will hand the title to Videoton, for the first time in the clubs history. Debrecen make the trip to already relegated Szolnok on Tuesday, hoping to get into the European qualifying place. The other two games that day, sees Vasas face Lombarfd, with the home sidehoping to carry on with their good spring form. Ferencvaros will be looking to grab the final qualifying position at the expense of ZTE, in what is sure to be an exciting game.
Wednesday is the day that all Videoton fans have been waiting for. The home match with Kaposvar, at the Sostoi, which was the scene exactly a week ago, when the two met in the Hungarian Cup. Vidi will be hoping for a repeat of the 4-0 scoreline, that would lead to celebrations. Ujpest have a mid table game with Kecskemet, Vidi's opponents in the Hungarian Cup final on the 17th May. MTK's first division status is currently hanging by a thread. They have a difficult game with Haladas on Wednesday, and anything less than a win will see them relegated to division two. The final match involves Győri ETO and Honved. Both sides will be looking to finish the season on a high, and climb a couple of places in the Monicomp league table.
