Exciting times are just around the corner as Videoton travel to Honved at the weekend. The maths suggests that with four matches left, and a maximum of twelve points to be won, with Videoton currently leading by ten points, things should be settled at the weekend. The fixtures kick off with a mid table affair between Kecskemet and Győri ETO on Friday. ZTE have a home match with relegation threatened MTK on Friday evening. Janos Csank's ZTE have slipped out of the top three lately, and look unlikely to qualify for the European competitions. Saturday includes five games, with bottom side Szolnok taking on Ferencvaros. Szolnok is a difficult place to get points from, as Vidi found out recently. The big match on Saturday is the Kaposvar v Debrecen game. This third verses fifth match will go a long way to determining who makes it into the top three places, come the end of the current league season.

There is another mid-table match when Haladas meet Vasas. Papa have a home match with Siofok, who currently sit one place above the bottom two positions. It now looks as if it will be Siofok and MTK who will be battling it out to remain in the first division. The final game on Saturday will be the Paks - Ujpest game. Paks are second in the table and have had a remarkable season so far. Videoton travel to Budapest on Sunday, to face Honved in the final match of the weekend. However, by that time, Vidi could be making the journey there safe in the knowledge that they have already won the league, without kicking a ball. That would mean that the red and blues will pick up their first league title in the clubs history, and qualify for the Champions league tournament in the summer. Exciting and interesting times ahead for everyone connected with Videoton Football Club.
