The second part of our review of the most important moments of the last twelve months

April

2.     Videoton continue their unbeaten run in the spring season with a 1-1 away draw at Szolnok.  

7.     Special MOL Petrol cards with a Videoton photo are produced and offered to supporters to enjoy advantages on the road!

8.     Vidi produce a good performance to beat third place ZTE, as they continued the form that would help them win their first league title.

11.    A special interview is made with the clubs Honorary President, Mr Ferenc Kovacs, which offers his views on the club and the situation of that current time

12-13.  One time Celtic goalkeeper Paddy Bonner visits the Sostoi stadium as part of the pro-license course for upcoming managers and coaches.

13.    Former Videoton player Ferenc Horvath gives an exclusive interview, which includes the fact that he would love to be manager of Videoton FC one day!

17.    Vidi lose away at Haladas following a battling match with the Szombathely side.

20.    14 times capped Northern Ireland international player Barry Hunter, who is currently a scout at Manchester City, gives an interview to vidi.hu.

20.    Vidi take a single goal advantage in to the second leg of their Hungarian cup match with Kaposvar.

24-26. The Puskas Suzuki cup takes place over three days at the Puskas Academy in Felcsut.

23.     Videoton produce a confident second half performance to beat Papa. André Alves takes his goalcount for the season to 22 goals.

26.     Vidi lose away at Paks, despite making a real game of it against the eventual runners up.

29.     Videoton equalise twice to force a draw with Kecskemet.

March

3.      The best defender and forward is given out for the 2010 season, with Zoltan Liptak and Andre Alves accepting their awards for their good performances.

4.      Videoton FC reach the Hungarian cup final! Vidi produce a 4-0 home win in the second leg to make it 5-0 on aggregate against Kaposvar.

8.      Budapest Honvéd - Videoton FC 2-2. Vidi are forced to wait a little longer for their first ever league title, following a draw in Budapest

11.     Kaposvar are beaten 3-1 at the Sostoi stadium three days later. Videoton FC are crowned first division champions for the first time and qualify for the Champions League!

12.     Videos and photos marking the historic first title are put up on the clubs website..

13.     Manager Gyorgy Mezey thanks the supporters for their backing over the season, and happily talks about the successes of the season to the clubs website.

14.     Videoton FC - Győri ETO 2-1. Three more points are picked up against rivals Győr at the Sostoi stadium.

15.     The club announces that the contract of manager Gyorgy Mezey would not be renewed at the end of the season. The announcement goes onto say that Paulo Sousa will be the new manager of Videoton FC for the forthcoming 2011/2012 league season.

15.     Gyorgy Mezey talks about how proud he is of the team for their achievements in winning the Monicomp league!

17.     Kecskemet pick up the Hungarian cup at the Ferenc Puskas stadium with a 3-2 win to qualify for the Europa league.

21.     Vidi.hu features a three articles celebrating the club's journey to their league success

22.     Újpest FC - Videoton FC 1-0. Ujpest keep the three points at the Szusza Ferenc stadium in Budapest in terrible stormy conditions

23.     Paulo Sousa arrives in Szekesfehervar. The new managers first journey is straight to the Sostoi stadium

24.     Sousa is introduced to the media at a press conference held in a hotel in the town centre.

25.     The official Hungarian Videoton Facebook side reaches the 8000 mark!

29.     The goalmouth areas of the Sostoi pitch are replaced and improved as a result. The season may have finished but work carries on behind the scenes at the stadium.

30.     André Alves becomes player of the year. He becomes top goalscorer and player in Hungary

June

2.      The new 'Gold' league title shirts are available to buy at the club shop

2.      The club are given 20 VW cars as part of a sponsorship deal with the local car company.

5.      Paulo Sousa arrives back in Fehervar with two of his coaching staff. Videoton sign coach Joan Carrillo Milannal on a three year deal, while Ignacio Torreno Jarabo also joins as the fitness coach.

6.      Roland Szolnoki scores a goal at the U19 championships! The Hungarian U19 side win 4-2 against Macedonia to end up in third place in the tournament.

7.      Zoltan Liptak is one of the goalscorers in Hungary's 3-0 away win in San Marino in a European Qualifying match.

9.      Paulo Sousa holds his first training session at the club, which is held in Felcsut. The 6pm session kicks off with some light jogging.

10.    Marko Andjics leaves the club by mutual consent.

11.     The reserves end their second division season in third place.

14.     Keeper Zsolt Sebők Zsolt leaves the club after his contract is not extended.

15.     Alves picks up the Florian Albert award for his goalscoring

18-26. Videoton FC are away at their training camp base in Northern Italy

19.     Hector Sanchez becomes the first signing of Paulo Sousa.

20.     Videoton FC are drawn with Austrian Champions Sturm Graz in the 2nd round Qualification match

21.     Vidi sign a two year deal with Alvaro Brachi after he becomes the second Spanish arrival inside a week. 

22.     Walter Fernadez makes it a trio of Spanish purchases when he also signs a two-year deal.

28.     Nicola Mitrovics joins Videoton from Ujpest and goes straight to the training camp in Italy. 

28.     Presinger leaves Vidi for Lombard Papa, while defender Pal Lazar moves to Samsunspor in Turkey.
