Videoton made up ground on the leaders following their 4-1 home win over ZTE on Friday evening. A powerful show of attacking football produced four goals for the home side, with the goals coming from Walter, Alves (2) and Sandor. The three points saw Vidi rise to fourth for a few hours, but other results meant that Videoton are currently in sixth place with seventeen points from ten games. Kaposvar almost sprang a shock result on Saturday, with Debrecen needing an injury time penalty to rescue a point. The point was enough to keep them at the top of the league table, with Győri ETO closely on their heels.

Ujpest continue to show signs of improvement after they comfortably saw off visitors Haladas at home. The young lilac team scored four goals in the second consecutive game, despite problems in the background at the club. An amazing game at Paks saw eight goals shared out equally in a 4-4 draw. The game had plenty of twists and turns to keep the crowd on their toes. Lombard Papa and Vasas drew 0-0 as did Siofok and Honved. Papa continue to struggle for wins, but still sit in mid-table.The single point that Pecs picked up saw them leapfrog Videoton into fifth.

The final two games of the weekend took place on Sunday. KTE entertained Ferencvaros at home, with the inform Laszlo Lencse leading the home sides front line. Lencse has done well since joining KTE on a season long loan deal from Vidi. He ended up scoring the only goal of the game in the first half, beating the defender before powerfully shooting home. Diosgyőr continued their very good start to the season with a 2-0 home win over previously unbeaten Győri ETO. Backed up by a fabulous home support of over 11,000, the visitors were never really in the game, with DVTK scoring a goal in each half to take all three points.
