Marko Nikolic: The second half went really well

The two managers spoke shortly after the final whistle of Vidi's 3-0 win over Kisvarda.

Marko Nikolic:

"Congratulations to the team for the win and for making it 15 points from 5 games. We have started the new season very strongly and have scored lots of goals, while conceding few. We will now have a couple of days off to rest before the team return to continue developing. The target is for us to get better each day. I want to wish good luck to the Hungarian national team and I know that they have a very hard game awaiting them. I also want to wish good luck to those players heading off on international duty who will be representing their country. I did not like the way we started the match. We lost many balls and Kisvarda came out us dangerously. We then took over the control of the game after around 25-30 minutes and created chances. The second half went really well. We need to try and copy the way we played in that period as a model of the way we want to carry on playing in the future. Our squad is strong and there is plenty of competition, which is why we are rotating the team. Marko Futacs suffered an ankle injury at Paks and he did not play today. He trained with us but we did not want to take the gamble."

The press conference continued with a question about debutant Musliu as well as whether we could say that winning the league is the main aim.

"It is easy to be clever afterwards and say that this is exactly how we planned the debut of Musliu. The basic reason is that we felt the time had come for him to make his debut in the first team at home. It is always harder for a defender to come into a team than it is for a forward. We did not have him for our pre-season but Visar has now been training with us for a few weeks. This is why we made the decision to play him. With regards to the league title, I can say that yes, we do want to win the league. We also know that it will be hard work in the period that follows."

Miriuta László:

"There is not too much I can say about the game today as 3-0 speaks for itself. We were in the game with Vidi in the first half. We hit the post and had chances and had we scored, perhaps the game would have gone a different way. However, we could have also lost 3-1 or even 4-1. We worked on our set-pieces all week. We all knew what would be coming up and we knew who to mark. We then ended up conceding two goals from this. The game was finished at 2-0. Vidi and Ferencvaros are the two strongest teams in the league. They can afford to field two teams each. I looked at their bench before the game and saw players like Futacs, Elek or even Stopira. Huszti and Juhasz were rested for their game at Paks last week. Today they played in the match and their squad is deep. We had Rubus come in from the NB II, while Tischler has not played for almost two years while Bumba has been out since May. They need time but I feel with such a small squad, our aim will be to remain in the league."
