Weekend fixtures postponed due to the wintry weather

The Hungarian FA held a meeting on Thursday morning to decide on the fate of this weekend's football league matches. Recent heavy snow has cast a doubt on whether the games could go ahead. Several pitches are currently under a blanket of snow, with more wintry weather on the way. Weekend 17 of the Monicomp League season will now take place on the 26th February 2011. The 2nd leg matches of the Hungarian Cup have also been moved to the spring, and is due to be played on the 16th February 2011. This means that the winter break has now began for clubs in Hungary.
