Videoton FC played out the second friendly match of the Spanish pre-season camp. They were up against Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv, with the final result ending in a 1-1 draw. The Estadio Municipal de

This mini tournament of four sides meant that the other two teams met prior to this game. FC Dnyipro comfortably beat FC Jurmala of Latvia 8-1. The Szekesfehervar side will meet the Ukrainians on Saturday afternoon. Vidi ran out under the floodlights in their familiar red and blue kit, while Plovdiv wore a black and white striped top and black shorts.

Videoton FC manager José Gomes mentioned in his pre-match comments that he was looking to field two separate sides in each half. The starting line-up included a healthy mix of youth and experience, with the majority of the traveling squad being given the opportunity to impress the coaching staff, and fight their way in to the team as Gomes explained before this friendly.

The first half was mainly about battling with barely one chance being created. That came towards the end of the first period, when one of the Bulgarian strikers tested Tujvel in the Vidi goal, but the keeper was in good form to make the save.

José Gomes sent out a different side at the start of the first half. The second period had just started when Plovdiv won a free kick in front of goal. However, the shot ended up going wide of the post with the score remaining 0-0. Sandor passed the ball back towards his own keeper, but the ball took an unfortunate bounce, and it required the hand of keeper Pajovics to deal with things. Plovdiv ended up taking the lead when Ferrarso scored from close range. The response from Videoton was quick as first Oliveira saw his curling shot on goal well saved by Kolev after 52 minutes. The Bulgarian keeper could do nothing four minutes later, when Gyurcso's good cross was headed home by Nikolics.

Niko could have put Vidi ahead shortly after but his good chance did not find the back of the net. Plovdiv manager then made several changes as the game went on. Chances were few as a result of the changes, although Videoton had more of the possession. Oliveira broke the silence with 10 minutes remaining, but the defender arrived just in time with a sliding tackle. Nikolics had the final chance on goal in the 94th minute. Gyurcso's corner was headed over in what turned out to be the last event of this 1-1 friendly draw. That means that Vidi have drawn their two friendly games so far with the next match on Saturday against a strong Ukrainian side.

The second half was an entertaining one, with Vidi having much more of the ball than they did against Rijeka. This is what manager José Gomes asked from his players after the first friendly.
