Videoton FC played out the first of their three freindly matches in Belek, Turkey, on Sunday evening. The game began in real footballing weather against the current top side in Romania, Dinamo Bucharest. The game began at a good tempo, with some end to end football taking place. Nemanja Nikolics found the back of the net after 11 minutes, but that was flagged for offside. Dinamo then did the same five minutes later, when a header flew past Bozovics. However, the scores remained 0-0, despite those two efforts.

Both sides had very good chances to take the lead around the 20th minute mark. Nikolics was first, but he could only shoot wide under pressure from the defender. The Romanian side also tested the awareness of Bozovics in the Videoton FC goal. Both sides were committed and showing determination to get ahead in this game. However, the game remained clean and the referee had an easy match to officiate. Dinamo were dangerous at set pieces, especially in the second period of the first half.

The second half started very much as the first had, with a similar picture emerging. The match was fairly balanced with neither side gaining the upper hand. The majority of the attacks from the Romanian side came down the left, with Alexe looking particluarly dangerous. There were several changes on the hour mark from both manager's, with both Kovacs and Torghelle coming on to add strength to the Vidi attack. However, they also found it tough to get through a good Dinamo defence. Vidi's backline was also proving tough to break through, and hopefully the spring season will be built on this backbone. There were fewer real chances in the second half, than there had been in the first 45. On the whole the game proved a good workout for Paulo Sousa's side, who showed that they were more than a match for Dinamo Bucharest. The draw was perhaps a fair result based on the match. Vidi next have a friendly match against Rubin Kazany on Wednesday.
