Paulo Sousa mentioned before the match that he planned to give some playing time to those players who have not featured as much as the others. The manager fielded a very different side to that of a few days ago, when Vidi drew 0-0 with Dinamo Bucharest. Tavriya put out virtually their full strength side in this friendly under the Belek sun.

The Ukrainians took an early 12th minute lead from the penalty spot. Vasko and Afolabi both fell to the floor inside the penalty box, with the match official pointing straight at the spot as a result. Feshchuk took the spot kick and confidently sent it to the left of Tujvel. Their star player then made it 2-0 shortly after, when Nazarenko broke into the box and showed good skill, before curling a low shot beyond the reach of the Videoton keeper. The game became more balanced following this goal, with small fouls taking place across the pitch. Mitrovics had a good chance on 26 minutes to bring Vidi back into the game. The midfielder tried to lift the ball over their keeper but he was unlucky with his effort. Vidi had another good chance on 38 minutes, when Vasko headed a Gyurcso free kick straight at Kahriman. Navrija had a long range effort on half time, which Tujvel saved well from.

Vasziljevics had the first real chance of the first half, with a very good shot, needing a brave safe from the Ukrainian keeper. Gyurcso passed to Polonkai on 53 minutes, who shot at once at goal, with it going just wide of the right hand post. There was an even closer effort a few moments later. A Gyurcso corner resulted in Apostolopoulos storming in to the box and his powerful header came back off the crossbar. The opposition had just one real chance in the second half, when Nazarenko's free kick went just over Tujvel's goal. Paulo Sousa made several changes in the 70th minute, with Vidi gaining the upperhand in the match. Brachi's curling ball after 80 minutes, was met by Peric, but his shot came off a defender for a corner.

Videoton FC play their final friendly of their Turkish training camp on Saturday against FC Kuban Krasnodar with an early 10am kick off.
