We asked our defender, András Huszti about recent past and the tactical changes as well as the cup match against DVTK on Wednesday.
How frustrating was it in previous matches that, although on several occasions our play was not a problem and we had a chance to win or score, the results didn't come?
It was very frustrating for the team and the players individually. We didn't make the step up at the front and at the back we were punished immediately for one or two mistakes. We talked amongst ourselves in the dressing room that we need to stay united, keep working hard and then after a while this trend will definitely reverse. We seem to have found the formation that suits us, the one in which we can defend and attack best as a team.
In the system you mentioned, we have three central defenders. How do you feel in this position?
I didn't play much as a centre-back before, it's a new role for me, but I'm finding my place in this position more and more. As a team, I feel much more stable with this formation than when we played with four defenders. In the last league game, Debrecen had only one shot on goal, they couldn't create any chances against us. I hope that this formation will work well in the future.
After the league win against DVSC, the next challenge is already here, when Diósgyőr come to Székesfehérvár in the cup on Wednesday. What do you expect from this match?
Going onto the pitch in a cup match is always a different feeling than in a league match. It's all decided in one game, you can't improve the following week, that's what makes this series so special. Of course we want to go further, so we are preparing this week, we have to give a hundred percent again and then I hope we can celebrate after the final whistle.
