PRESS CONFERENCE

"MTK settled the game within ten minutes"

The head coaches of the two teams, Tamás Pető and Dávid Horváth, assessed the match after the final whistle.

Tamás Pető:

"I think we played very well in the first half and controlled things. We took their midfielders out of the game and scored a very nice goal. Also, we had several scoring chances in the first half and could have led by more goals. In the second half, we had to make a forced substitution to break down our defence and MTK settled the game within ten minutes. Regardless, we had our chances in the second 45 minutes, but we were really chasing the result there. MTK had more space and they were ruthless in exploiting it, they are very good at that. We didn't allow them to do that in the first half, that was our weapon at that time. Congratulations to MTK and I wish Zoltán Stieber a speedy and full recovery."

Dávid Horváth:

"In the first half of the game we couldn't find the rhythm, we had the upper hand in possession, but we were slow to reach the opponent's penalty area and we were inaccurate in our combinations. We had to improve on this at the break and we were also a goal down. It's very difficult to play against Fehérvár, but we improved and really outplayed our opponents in the centre. Krisztián Németh showed the virtues of a classic centre and Jurina, who replaced him, also did a great job. The whole team improved in the second half, we became more accurate and increased our lead with goals from point kicks. We are very happy to go through, but our joy is a little overshadowed by the injury of Zoltán Stieber, who I wish a speedy recovery from here."
