After the game, ended 2-2 with two different halves, the two head coaches assessed the eventful encounter.
Tamás Pető:
"It's the umpteenth time this season that we've come back from such a low point, it shows the spirit of my team. The first half was poor, especially the first ten minutes. During that time our defence was terrible, and it affected the whole half. We had a lot of absentees, our three centre-backs had not played together like that before, but that cannot be an excuse for what happened in the first ten minutes. We could not find the rhythm, Újpest were clearly better. We managed to put our heads in order at the break, and everything changed in the second. We won the duels, pushed ahead and levelled in the best moment. I would like to highlight Saponjic, who has been struggling with his hamstring this week, but still took the game on, played the whole game and scored an important goal. I knew after our first goal that we were going to grind Újpest, we were much better physically. We played two opposite halves, it was a fair result."
Bartosz Grzelak:
"When things go against you, it's hard to get out of this negative spiral. The second goal against us was one of those goals that maybe once in a hundred goes in, this time it stuck. We played very well in the first half, did a lot of good things and went into the break with a 2-0 lead. We talked in the dressing room about going on and scoring the next goal, but that's not what happened. We became passive, Vidi created chances and then equalised. We played better than in the previous matches, but again we failed to win. We are currently in 7th place because we cannot get three points. If we start winning, we will start moving up."
