Head coach Tamás Pető named Dala - Serafimov, Petrov, Kalandadze - Holender, Pető, Melnyik, Szabó B., Milicevic - Katona, Saponjic in the starting eleven.
Újpest started the game with chances: a corner was headed wide by Brodic, who missed from six metres. The home team remained on the attack, Karamoko, who was a strong player for the team last season, broke into the penalty area, Serafimov could only stop him with a foul, which resulted in a penalty. Dala Martin sensed the direction and with a great dive he palmed away out Krisztofer Horváth's penalty from the bottom left corner.

The purple and whites continued to attack; in the 7th minute Lacoux's 22-metre cross hit the crossbar, and two minutes later Karamoko again stepped up to take a free-kick, which Dala saved with his foot - the chance had been preceded by a foul earlier.

The game became more evenly matched and in the 14th minute we had our first Vidi chance: Saponjic's header was saved by Piscitelli. In the 22nd minute, the home side took the lead: Gergényi's cross from the left found Besé on the other wing, who shot across goal and into the net (1-0).

In the 29th minute, Milicevic took a free kick from a promising position in the middle, but it was wide of the target, and in the 36th minute, Bálint Szabó's cross was headed at goal by Pető and saved by Piscitelli. In the 40th minute, an unlucky goal put us two goals down: a corner from Ljujic bounced off Melnyik's back and into his own goal (2-0).

At the break, Katona was replaced by Stefanelli. The second half started with a quieter game, then the home side pushed forward in search of a further goal but in the 50th minute Bálint Szabó's free-kick was headed over by Saponjics, then Stefanelli's shot swept past the right post. Tamás Pető also threw on Mátyás Kovács into action, replacing Holender.

Milán Pető had a chance on goal, his strike was not successful, but the game changed noticeably. The will of Fehérvár led to a goal in the 58th minute: Milicevic's good cross was headed into the goal by the onrushing Saponjic (2-1).

The rest of the time, we did everything we could for an equaliser. In the 92nd minute, Bálint Szabó kept the ball against two defenders, broke into the penalty area and powered a great goal into the net (2-2). After a VAR review, the referee also ruled the goal as legal, so we could return home from Újpest with a valuable point.
