Bulgaria suffered another 2-1 loss to the Republic of Ireland on Sunday evening.
On Sunday evening, Bulgaria travelled to Ireland in the second leg of their play-off for the League of Nations Division B.
The Bulgarian starting line-up also included Simeon Petrov, our new defender who was signed during the winter.
The Irish won the first leg 2-1, and the return leg was a similar result: although Bulgaria took the lead in the 30th minute to overturn a one-goal deficit, the Irish came back in the second half to win 2-1 and take the match 4-2 on aggregate.
Petrov was on the pitch all the time in the back five of the Bulgarian defence, receiving a yellow card in the 32nd minute. Bulgaria will play in Division C in the next round of the Nations League.
