"Only small things will decide the fate of the 3 points this time"

We also talked to our player about the match against Újpest and his performance of the Hungarian and Serbian national teams.

After Friday's winning friendly match against FC Ajka you had a few days off, which I guess was important for you as the season approaches its final stages. How did these few days go for you?

I spent this time with my family and I feel like I managed to recharge my batteries. As you said, we're in the final stages of the season, we're involved on two fronts and we want to do as well as we can in the league and the cup.

You have two important and probably difficult away games in the next week, first we play Újpest in the league on Sunday and then MTK away in the cup. How are you preparing for these games?

At the moment we are only focusing on the match against Újpest on Sunday. So far this season, we have played them twice and lost both times. In the 1-0 defeat at home, the game was decided by small things, and the match could have gone the other way. We know that Újpest have been in a slump lately and obviously we have heard about the coaching issue, but we are not concerned about that at all, only ourselves. It's a very difficult game for sure, and I'm certain that Újpest will be very motivated against us on Sunday, but it will be an important game for us as well. We definitely want to win, because in that case we would overtake Újpest in the table. I think it will be another close encounter and it is possible that again only small things will decide the fate of the 3 points.

I assume that during the national team break, you not only followed the Hungarian team's matches, but also the Serbs'. What do you think about the results of both teams?

That's right, as far as my time allowed, I tried to watch as many matches of both national teams as possible. I can honestly say that I was not surprised by the Serbs' success against Austria, because although Austria have done very well in recent years, Serbia have now grown into a really strong team and deservedly stayed in the A-League. The double defeat of our team against Turkey - and especially the goal difference of 1-6 - is, in my opinion, exaggerated and does not reflect the difference between the two teams. However, it is also true that the Turkish team did not get promoted undeservedly on the basis of the two games, but I think the five-goal difference is extreme. However, I don't think that the elimination from the A-League is a tragedy at all, I am sure that the team will be well prepared for the World Cup qualifiers in the autumn and I am confident that they will overcome the obstacles.
