"Seeing the mentality, attitude and enthusiasm of the team, I am looking forward to the match with confidence"

Our team's away match against Újpest FC kicks off on Sunday at 18:00 at the Szusza Ferenc Stadium

"Sunday will be a special game, as there has been lots of movement between the two clubs, both on the coaching and player front, over the summer. We should not be lulled to sleep by the fact that Újpest have failed to win their first two league games, they are playing at home and we played a European qualifying game on Thursday night, which doesn't make our job any easier, but seeing the mentality, attitude and enthusiasm of the team, I am looking forward to the game with confidence. I played for Újpest as a player before, so I have an emotional attachment to them, but I also played against them in my first appointment at Fehérvár, so I can put the past completely aside for this game. Both teams have players who have played for the other side, but as a sportsman, everyone has to put that aside for one game. I am sure our opponents and their coach will be very motivated, but we are up for the challenge and we will be just as motivated. We focused on regeneration on Friday and Saturday, the game against Omonoia took a lot out of the players physically, but we trained hard during the preparation so that this double load would not be a problem - I hope that this will not be a factor in Sunday's meeting" - head coach Tamás Pető told our website.
