Vidi played their second friendly of the day against Russian opponents.
Vid were in friendly action for the second time on Friday when they came up against Russian opponents. FK Krasnodar are in fifth place in their domestic league and Henning Berg fielded the following side: Kovácsik - Nego, Vinícius, Juhász, Stopira - Hadzic, Varga József, Pátkai, Suljic - Lazovics, Scepovic.
The match started with the first bit of action after 3 minutes. A fine Vidi move resulted with a cross from the left by Stopira, which was met by the head of Hadzic on the right, but his close range header thundered back off the post. The Russian side also had a good move after 7 minutes: Kaleshin put in a ball into the middle and a powerful shot from Smolov went wide of the mark. Suljic seemed to be fouled on 12 minutes but the referee's whistle remained silent. The tempo continued as Gazinski saw his chance saved by Vidi keeper Kovacsik. There were 15 minutes on the clock when Lazovics released Suljic, who did well to play in Scepovic, but the Serbian forward's shot came back off Adamov's legs.
Scepovic saw another shot blocked by the Russian defence. Henning Berg saw his side mount another good move on 20 minutes: Lazovics sent a diagonal ball across to Nego, who passed low to Scepovic, and the ball returned back to Lazovics. The experienced frontman hit a low shot but it failed to threaten the opponents keeper. Nego found himself on the floor soon after inside the box, but again the referee chose not to blow his whistle and the defenders were able to play the ball out. Suljic and Lazovics closed down the Russian defenders on 37 minutes, and then played the ball out wide, but the ball in was just missed by inches with Lazovics waiting to pounce. Smolov had the last chance of the first half for Krasnodar, but Juhasz was able to block it and the two sides went in at the break with the score 0-0.
There was a change at half time with Roland Szolnoki coming on in place of Jozsef Varga and the team switched to a 5-2-3 formation. It was Roland Juhasz who had the first chance in the second period. The club captain headed at goal after a cross from Hadzic. The 55th minute ended with Wanderson finding room between the defenders, but Kovacsik was in fine form to deny him near the bottom left corner.
Kovacsik saved a 62nd minute Shiskin free kick. Vidi in their red and blue strip looked in good form as the match continued in the mild Marbella evening under the floodlights. A neat move after 68 minutes saw Lazovic play a fine pass to Scepovic who found himself with a chance on goal, but his low shot went the wrong side of the left post. Keeper Kritsyuk denied Suljic from a tight angle with 5 minutes remaining.
The final chance of the friendly game fell to Scepovics who showed neat skill before finding the post from long range. It was Vidi who came closer to winning based on chances and the general play, but the two sides had to settle for a 0-0 friendly draw.
