Friendly: Danko Lazovic' former Russian club are the opponents on Wednesday

Videoton FC play their first winter friendly on Wednesday when they meet Zenit.

The St Petersburg club were formed 92 years ago in 1925. They have won their domestic league title 5 times in their history. Those came in 1984, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2015. Their biggest European success was in 2008 when they lifted the UEFA cup after beating Scottish side Rangers 2-0.

Vidi forward Danko Lazovic has 47 international caps to his name. He also played for Zenit in 51 games between 2010 and 2013, which brought him 17 goals. He helped them to two league titles in 2010 and 2012.

Season 2015-16 resulted in a 3rd place finish behind CSKA Moscow and Rostov. That brought them a place in the Europa League group stage. Zenit have won 5 and lost 1 of their group matches. They will face Belgium club Anderlecht in the knock out stages in February. Zenit have played 17 league games this season in the domestic championship. They sit in second place and 5 points behind the Moscow side, which includes former Vidi striker Ze Luis.

Wednesday's game will kick off at 17:00pm local time, which is 14:00pm Hungarian time. There will be a report following the game.
