A fantastic last minute free kick secured Videoton a point on Saturday at the home of Vasas.
"I do not know what the match was like from the outside, but from within it was a very tough one. The game was fairly balanced in the first half, but we then dominated things in the second 45 minutes. We created several chances in front of the opponents goal, but we just could not convert those. It was like there was a curse on us. However, the team kept going until the very end and we battled throughout and tried really hard to find the equaliser. We managed to do that in the 91st minute. A few of us usually remain out after training session to practise free kicks. I am sure that it was not only because of this that we scored against Vasas, but due to the fact that we fought on the pitch until the last second. We never gave up and I am proud of the team for that. I would also like to thank the enthusiastic support that the team received. They also backed us right until the final kick of the game. They helped to make sure we would not leave the pitch empty handed. I am sure that we deserved at least a point based on the game, but with a bit more luck, we could have come away with all three points" - commented Danko Lazovics.
