Danko: It was a very important 3 points for us

"It was exactly the kind of match that we were counting on. We knew that our opponents were a strong side and that their place in the league table was misleading. They defended strongly and we found it hard to create chances. There were also plenty of battles going on around the pitch. I felt it was more than average, which is why there were so many yellow card handed out. It was not that bad despite that. We picked up an important 3 points and the teams are hot on our heals at the top. We managed to take advantage of the first place side slipping up today. That means that we are just a point behind them in the league. I am very pleased that I scored two goals and it felt really good to hear my name being sang during and after the game. It is important to point out that it was not Danko Lazovics who won the game but Vidi and the team"  - commented Lazovics after the final whistle.
