Vidi were closer to the win in the friendly against Dinamo Kiev

Vidi had more chances than the Ukrainian star side, but got as close as hitting the bar.

Vidi played their third friendly match at the Marbella Football Centre against Dinamo Kiev. The weather conditions was a sunny 16c, but strong winds also awaited the team. The Ukrainian side with a value of around 125 million euros included several star players in their line-up like 22 million rated Andriy Yarmolenko. Roland Juhasz missed the match after picking up a slight injury in the recent friendly game against Samsung Suwon. However, the news is positive and is not serious. The most important thing is that he should be in 100% condition for the league game against Győr. The Coaching and medical staff will naturally do their best in this respect.

Dinamo kept the ball in the Vidi half in the early exchanges with a Yarmolenko cross and shot failing to open the score. Alvarez sent in a promising cross at the other end, and Sandor hit a powerful strike from 24 meters out after 12 minutes, which required a smart save from Rybka. Buyalski went down the right on 20 minutes before passing it into the middle for the arriving Belhanda to shoot first time, but Pajovics was well placed to save.

Sandor then released Oliveira down the left with a good ball and the winger eventually found the chest of Alvarez, but he could not shoot. Nikolics then got the ball a minute later on the edge of the Kiev box. His first time effort brought a good save out of Rybka. Kiev's Myakushko volleyed a shot on 25 minutes, but it was not on target. An excellent chance for Vidi to score came in the 25th minute. Sandor again found Oliveira, who lifted the ball over the keeper, but the ball came back off the crossbar and into the hands of Rybka, with the score remaining at 0-0.

The 38th minute saw Yarmolenko shoot at goal, but his effort was flagged offside. The final event of the first half came from a curling Alvarez freekick from 17 meters out.

There were no changes at the break with Vidi having three chances in the opening 10 minutes of the second half. Chakla flicked a ball on before Nikolics got hold of the ball and then played Kovacs in with a good ball, who shot from 8 meters out, but his shot was parried by Rybka. Alvarez then hit a free kick over from almost the same place as in the 40th minute. A Yarmolenko free kick on 62 minutes was saved by Pajovics in the Vidi goal. The resulting counter attack saw Alvarez with the ball ball who showed good skill in front of the Kiev goal, but he was tackled as he tried to shoot.

There were six changes after 67 minutes with Trebotic, Ivanovski, Heffler, Pajac, Gyurcso and Fejes all coming on to replace Szolnoki, Kovacs, Simon, Stopira, Alvarez and Oliveira. Sandor got hold of the ball on the half way line after 72 minutes, and then passed the ball to Niko, who controlled and shot from 17 meters, but his effort sailed wide of the post. A Belhanda corner 2 minutes later ended at the feet of Vinicius, who released Nikolics, who found himself with a chance, but the forward saw his effort go inches wide.

Buyalski had a big chance after 83 minutes after a cross, which he ended up shooting from 7 meters, but another good save was produced by Pajovics. The keeper still had time to collect a cross near the end and then start a quick counter attack, which ended with Gyurcso crossing low for a Ukrainian defender to clear.

The final score ended 0-0, but it was Vidi who had the more chances compared to the Ukrainian league leaders. The final friendly will be on Tuesday against CSKA Moscow.
