Nikolics has scored a goal in each season as a Vidi player against FTC

Videoton FC and Ferencvaros TC have played 84 league matches to date with some interesting factors springing up.

Vidi and FTC have played 84 games in the first division with the green and whites winning 39 of them. A further 23 have ended in a draw with the remaining 22 resulting in wins for the red and blues. Fradi enjoy the better of the goal difference with a 136-93 record. League games played at the Sostoi also see Ferencvaros enjoy the better of the stats. The 42 games played in Fehervar has seen 16 wins for the visitors, 10 victories for Vidi and the remaining 16 drawn. The overall goal difference is 57-48 in FTC's favour. Laszlo Tiber and Jozsef Szabo have scored the most goals against FTC. They both have 9 goals to their names over the years. Nikolics out of the current squad has the best record. He has always managed to score against Ferencvaros in games played as a Vidi player.

First league match:
Videoton FC played first division football for the first time in 1968. They travelled to Budapest to play the green and whites in the 8th weekend of that season. Ferencvaros won that match 1-0 and went on to win the league title.

First Vidi win:
Vidi had to wait until the 6th match between the two to record their first win. That came in season 1971/72 in the 28th week of the campaign. Videoton won 4-3 at the Sostoi stadium with the goals coming from Tamas Szalmasy 2, Laszlo Karsai and Imre Burka.

Longest unbeaten record:
That was a run of 9 league matches, which saw Vidi unbeaten against FTC. The run began on the 21st August 2004 with a 1-0 win over them in Szekesfehervar. The green and whites had to wait 8 years before winning 2-1 on the 7th October 2012 in Fehervar.

Longest run without a win:
19 years! That is the amount of time it took between two Vidi wins. That started on the 27th November 1993 with a 3-1 win thanks to a hatrick from Ferenc Horvath. It ended on the 29th April 2012 with a win in Szekesfehervar.

Biggest ever win:
One of the best moments for a Vidi supporter came at the home of Ferencvaros in a true FIESTA! A 5-0 away win is still the biggest ever win over the Budapest club.

Most memorable match:
Today's generation would surely choose the FTC-Vidi 0-5 game. However, if we look at the entire history of games between the two sides, then season 1975=76 ranks among the best. FTC led the league table by a single point over second placed Videoton. The game practically decided the outcome of the league title. Vidi led 1-0 with a goal from Szalmasy, but then Gyorgy Muncz wrote his name in to the history books as the match official. People still remember back to that painful match after he ruled out a goal from Jozsef Kovacs. He also awarded the home side a dubious penalty. The final result was 1-1.

Best individual performance:
Ferenc Horvath wins this award for his hatrick against FTC 21 years ago. The match on the 27th November 1993 saw the visitors lead through a Wukovics goal. Then Horvath took over with a headed equalizer, and then turned the match around in the 47th minute with a second goal. He crowned his performance in the 73rd minute as he found the back of the net from a Zimmermann cross to complete the score.
