José Gomes: "We will need to play our own game"

"The two week preparation period cannot be described as ideal, but let us not forget that there was only two weeks in between the final league match of last season and the first day of pre-season. There are advantages and disadvantages for this. The advantage is that the players are still in a good condition as they did not have the time to unwind. We did not have an easy job of finding out too much about our opponents. We managed to get hold of a couple of their matches from last season. The most important factor is that we have to focus on our own game and play our own football. I am satisfied with the performance of my players work so far. We are in good form now, and we are ready to play in a good match on Thursday evening" - commented Videoton FC manager José Gomes.
