I was really sad to suffer an injury in our home group stage match against Sporting, which came in the final minute, and resulted in me being unable to help the team get even better results. The injury was especially painful as up until that moment, I was developing day by day, and was improving my game each week at Vidi, and producing better performances."

"I began my rehabilitation as soon as they operated on me. I think that I am coming along quite well, and am putting all my energy and concentration, to reduce the injury period. I spent the winter break in the Cape Verde Islands, together with my family. It was really good to go back home, as I had not been there for quite a while. It was also good to see my relatives once again. However, I am really looking forward to meeting up with the other players on Monday.
