Caneira enjoying playing football in his old position again

"It was very important for us, and also for the supporters, to begin the new season well. We have worked very hard, and it appears that it was worthwhile. It does a lot of good for our own self-confidence, to start the new first division season with two wins. It gives us a push to carry on. I do not know how the supporters saw the Haladas and Ferencvaros matches from the sidelines, but either match was not easy, and we had to fight hard to win, and I feel that things will be no different in the future.

We are not dealing at the moment about what will happen, or what the end of the season will bring. We always focus on the next game. Pecs will visit us at the weekend, and we have not forgotten that they beat us at home on the final weekend of last season. We know that we will be up against a good side. José Gomes has pushed me further up into midfield in recent games. This is not a problem for me as I have previously played there when I was in France and Portugal.
