A very good goal from Oliveira settled the three points

The two sides have met for the 92nd time on Saturday afternoon in the first division. It was the 46th encounter between the two in Szekesfehervar. MTK surprised the division last week by being the first side to beat leaders FTC.

The first few minutes saw both sides try to gain the upperhand. Gyurcso broke the silence on 9 minutes when he shot at goal from 21 meters out. That brought a very good save out of visiting keeper Hegedus. Danilovics did not deal too well with a back pass moments later, which saw Strestik in with a chance from 12 meters, but his shot went the wrong side of the right post. A lovely move after 15 minutes ended with Oliveira shooting just over after Suljic had cut the ball back.

MTK then went close to scoring four minutes later, but Myke struck the crossbar from 21 meters after first bringing the ball down. The action continued to come with visiting forward Torghelle causing problems for the Vidi backline. A powerful shot from Strestik on 35 minutes almost found the net after the ball slipped through the fingers of Daniliovics. The final chance of an open first half fell to Kovacs, but he ended up on the floor after a challenge came in, which referee Bognar did not judge as a penalty.

The second half started as the first had ended with a chance in front of goal. Oliveira hit a shot from 20 meters, but Hegedus was in the right place to deal with it. The Budapest side then hit the woodwork for the second time in the game after 53 minutes. Kanta took a free kick and his strike came back off the right post. There was a debut for Vidi after 61 minutes when youngster Geresi came on to replace winger Gyurcso.

Hegedus almost let the ball slip through his hands and in to his own net after 67 minutes following a cross by Oliveira. It ended up going out for a corner, and the resulting action saw Vinicius flick his header wide of the post. A very good save from the MTK keeper denied a powerful point blank header from Feczesin, which would have seen Vidi go in to the lead. The visitors were then reduced to ten men after Gera kicked out at Suljic. Juhasz had a header go in to the hands of Hegedus, while a long range shot from Kovacs was also saved by the keeper. Geresi saw his left foot shot from 17 meters go just wide of goal after 78 minutes.

The breakthrough came after 81 minutes when Vidi went ahead. Poloskei's corner was cleared out ahead of Juhasz, but Oliveira was well placed to control the ball and then hit it in to the back of the net from 18 meters (1-0)!!

A tackle from Nego on 87 minutes saw the referee point at the penalty spot. MTK's Kanta placed his shot to the right of Danilovics, who did very well to get down low and deny him. That resulted in the final score being 1-0!

Kovacs went on a good solo run in the remaining minutes, before cutting the ball back but it did not find a Vidi shirt. Videoton picked up the three points with the 1-0 win. Referee Tamas Bognar produced 10 yellow cards and a red, wth 7 of those bookings being a Vidi player. The red and blues closed the gap at the top with the 3 points. Vidi are next in action on Wednesday 2nd December when they visit Ferencvaros.
