Vidi's performance sends the fans home happy
Videoton picked up a good win at home to Vasas, on Sunday evening, at the Sostoi stadium. The win sent Vidi up to third in the table after two games. It was Vasas who gave the home team a let off as Hrepka cracked the bar from very close, with an open goal in front of him. However, Vidi began to take control of the match from then on, as Vasas keeper Vegh, kept his side in the match with save after save. The scores were goaless at the break, but a devastating 7 minute spell, early in the second half destroyed Vasas. Alves was the first to find the net following an error by the defence.
Akos Elek in midfield was having a great game, and he was on hand to hit home the second. Striker Vujovics scored his second of the season, following his goal last week at Siofok. His goal sealed the win for Gyorgy Mezey's side. Vidi could have added to the three but the fans will be delighted with the final result, which will improve confidence within the club, and act as a real boost to a successful season ahead.
