Taking a closer look at Paks

Vidi will be looking for maximum points against a good Paks team

Videoton travel south to face Paks, who are currently sitting in eighth place in the OTP League table. Paks have recovered lately after a difficult start to the new campaign, and they will be looking to improve even further, and make things difficult for Paulo Sousa's side on Sunday.

The two met after ten games in the 2007/2008 season. Paks won that match at home 2-1, with Vidi taking the lead, thanks to an Eger own goal. Buzas scored Vidi's equaliser, before veteran striker Tokoli scored the winner in the 93rd minute. Vidi got their revenge in the spring season, when Dveri, Nagy and Koller all got on the scoresheet to help the red and blues to a 3-0 win. The 2009/2010 season saw Vidi recored a double over the southern based side. The first match was on the 19th September 2009, at the Sostoi stadium, when Denes Szakaly hit a double. with Daniel Nagy scoring the other in a 3-0 win. Tokoli hit the opener in the return match at Paks, before Gyorgy Sandor and Nemanja Nikolics secured victory for Gyorgy Mezey's side. The pair met in the 10th weekend of the autumn campaign, with Vidi winning 2-1 at the Sostoi. The goals that day coming from Andras Gosztonyi and an Andre Alves penalty. Eger scored a consolation from the penalty spot. Vidi lost away at Paks by a single goal last spring, on the way to their first league title win. They will be looking to improve on their last visit there, when the two square up on Sunday.
