Videoton have picked up ten wins so far over the second half of the season
Videoton FC have hit top form over the second half of the OTP league season. They went through the autumn season picking up 26 points from the 15 games. That was enough to give them fourth place over the first half of the campaign. Debrecen topped the table with 37 points, emerging three points clear of Győri ETO who had collected 34. Newly promoted Diosgyőr came third with 27 points, but have since had a disappointing second half, which has resulted in them sliding down the first division table. Vidi kicked off the spring season with a 7-0 thrashing of Siofok at the Sostoi stadium. That has become the highest first division win so far this season.
The stats look impressive with Vidi picking up maximum points in ten of the twelve games so far. That has seen them go ahead of Győri ETO into second place in the OTP league, and Sunday sees the two come head to head at the Sostoi. Debrecen were the only side that managed to beat Vidi, in a game when the red and blues deserved much more out of the match. Videoton have not only picked up the most points over spring - 31 points - but are also the top goalscorers with 29 goals to their name. Just as impressive is the fact that the six goals they have conceded, makes Paulo Sousa's side the best when it comes to defending.
