Stopira: We picked up an important 3 points

MOL Vidi FC reduced the gap at the top with Ferencvaros TC to six points after a comfortable 3-1 win away at MTK. We spoke to Stopira shortly after the final whistle.

"We played well and at a high level. We gave all we could in the first half to build a lead, which we defended in the second half to make sure the three points did not slip out of our hands. I feel that we fought in the previous two games, but we did not have any fortune on our side. I believe that everything went well today. We can be proud of ourselves and that we have picked up an important three points. My goal was completely conscious as we prepare for this kinds of variations, which can produce anything from them. Set pieces give us a chance to break up the opponents defence or to close down the game as we did today. With regards to the league, we managed to cut the gap at the top by 3 points and if we can win the remaining games, we can be sure of defending our league title. We strongly believe in this. And something else: I would like to ask the supporters to come out in bigger numbers, both in Szekesfehervar and at away games. Give us your support as they are like the 12th man. We can win important games in the future with them behind us" - commented Stopira.
