A visit to fifth in the table MTK on Saturday

Marko Nikolic takes his team to Budapest at the weekend as the league season continues.

MTK Budapest FC play hosts to MOL Vidi FC on Saturday evening. The blue and whites came away with the points in the autumn fixture following a 3-0 win at the Pancho Arena.

The team from the capital have played two games in the spring season. Week 19 saw Paks pick up the three points at the New Hidegkuti stadium. Then MTK won away at Mezokovesd a week later in match 20. It is interesting to see that MTK have collected more points (16) on the road than on their home pitch (14). They have also drawn the least games in the league (3) together with the Puskas Academy. They have collected 30 points so far this season to put them in 5th place. MTK are 4 points behind us and 2 behind Honved. They have mainly managed to remain in the top six over the course of the current season.

Their squad did not undergo too many changes over the winter period. However, one of the main talking points was the signing of 19 year old midfielder Andras Schafer, who moved to Italian first division club Genoa CFC. Another to leave was former Vidi player Balazs Farkas, who switched to ZTE. Kevin Korozman also left to join Soroksar.

Moving up from their U19 side was Benedek Varju. He made his debut in their match with Paks. Gergely Kapronczai was another and he was named substitute in the same game. Anton Bidzilya was among the subs for the second spring game at Mezokovesd. Slobodan Mihajlovic came in after playing for an Austrian lower league side. Szabolcs Schon was another to arrive having featured for the U17 and U19 national youth sides and being with Ajax most recently. He came on in the final minute to replace Adam Vass last week. Another new signing is former Ferencvaros, Mezokovesd and Puskas Academy player Ulysse Diallo. He signed on the 7th February but has yet to make a start for MTK.

Top goalscorer with 6 to his name is Jozsef Kanta. He is just 2 goals behind league top goalscorers Holender - Molnar and Lanzafame. Lencse and Bognar are both on 5 goals this season. The latter two also lead the Canadian table with 4 assists on top of the 5 goals. Former Vidi player and 36 year old forward Sandor Torghelle has 3 goals so far this season.

Bognar has played 1666 minutes in the 2018-19 campaign, although keeper Artem Kychak and former international player Adam Vass are on 1800. They have been ever present for Saturday's opponents.

MTK manager Tamas Feczko has no players missing through suspension for Saturday's game. That is thanks to his side not having a player sent off, which is the same for MOL Vidi. Akos Baki, Bela Balogh, Ikenne King and Adam Pinter did not make their most recent squad, while Daniel Gera was suspended. There are several former Vidi players in their current squad. Those include Sandor Torghelle, who was a member of Vidi's 2012 EL group stage squad. Laszlo Lencse was a member of the 2010-11 title winning side while another to spend a short period in Szekesfehervar was Tamas Kulcsar.
