The two managers spoke shortly after the final whistle on Saturday.
Marko Nikolic:
"I congratulate both teams on today's game. My players for the win and MTK for their performance in the second half. We played combination football in the first half and we passed the ball around while playing with energy. We had chances besides our three goals. We were too calm in the second half and made 20 passes while being 25 meters from goal. It would have been better to hit them on the counter attack. We also had 3-4 chances but made the wrong final decision. There was the shot that Hodzic had instead of passing, while Kovacs also had a similar chance. I also agree with my colleague that the game was settled at 3-0, but the focus was not always there. You need to concentrate fully for the whole match. The most important was that we returned to our winning ways. Today's game is now history and we focus our attention to the cup game on Wednesday."
The manager was asked about the fact that his side reduced the lead at the top by 3 points with FTC.
"I will be totally honest and say that the league table looks ugly to me. The teams behind us have closed the gap than we have on the team in front of us. I have told the players that we must not give up until it is mathematically possible to defend our league title. I still believe that we will repeat our success of last year. We will need the performance of the first half and not the one from the second."
Tamas Feczkó:
"I congratulate Vidi on the win. They showed that they can play well. There was a real gap in difference between the two teams in the first half. We played for pride in the second half and we can say that the game had already been settled. There is nothing more to say than to congratulate them. They showed how a professional team should play."
