The two sides met on Monday afternoon in Spain with Vidi's goal coming from Petryak.
The second pre-season friendly game took place on Monday close to Gibraltar at La Linea. The opponents were Swiss side FC Sion. Joan Carrillo fielded the following starting eleven: Kovácsik – Fiola, Musliu, Vinícius, Stopira – Nego, Pátkai, Milanov – Kovács, Futács, Petryak.
The game started with both sides trying to gain the upper hand. Visar Musliu was fouled on 25 minutes by a defender. With the Swiss side still organising their wall, an alert Ivan Petryak curling the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-0. Sadly the lead did not last too long and Lenjani got himself in between two defenders after 31 minutes, which was well saved by Kovacsik. However, the rebound fel to the Sion forward, who was brought down by Vinicius. The resulting penalty was converted powerfully by Grgic to make it 1-1. Stopira centred for Nego on 38 minutes, who from 14 meters sent a good shot towards the near right corner, but it did not find the target.
Joan Carrillo did not make any changes at the break but the Swiss side did. Former Arsenal defender Johan Djourou came on to the pitch for Sion. The first change for Vidi saw Fioloa, Vinicius, Milanov and Futacs come off to be replaced by Oliver, Hangya, Elek and Hodzic.
There wasn't too much danger in front of either goal during the second half. Fachinetti sent a cross from the left after 78 minutes, which Kasami connected with, but it ended up in the hands of Kovacsik. The Vidi keeper had more work to do after 85 minutes when Kasami pulled the ball back with his left foot and sent the ball towards the bottom left corner, but Kovacsik did well to deny him. A corner a minute later ended with Balint Szabo sending a promising shot towards goal, but it was blocked and the final whistle blew to make it 1-1.
Vidi are next in action on Thursday against Bochum with kick off at 16:00pm.
