Sion have won the Swiss championship twice in their history and they will provide the opposition on Monday in Spain.
Vidi will play their second friendly game of 2020 against FC Sion. It will be the second game in a row against Swiss opponents after last week's game with Winterthur.
The 13th January will see a game against two times Swiss champions FC Sion. Hungarian international Vilmos Vanczak played around 300 matches for them. They have been members of the Swiss Super League since 2006. They even managed to survive in one season despite starting with -36 points. They ended on minus 9 but financial problems at Neuchatel meant they received a reprieve. They were involved in European competition from 2010 and they went past Celtic in 2011. There were further games against Suduva in 2017 and progression into the final 32 in 2015 when they met both Bordeaux and Liverpool. They would go out after a tight defeat to Braga.
A full match report will appear here shortly after the final whistle.
