Paulo Sousa on the return to pre-season training

The manager is hoping for another successful season

The team began pre-season training on Monday ahead of the new 2012-2013 season. The squad underwent a medical check up on Monday morning, while taking part in their first training session in the afternoon. Work continued on Tuesday, with two sessions during the day under the guidance of Paulo Sousa. Another training session awaits on Wednesday morning. The squad will then depart for a ten day training camp in Slovenia with friendly matches lined up for the team.

"I am very pleased to be back in Hungary once again after a short summer break. My thoughts over the last three weeks were naturally based on Videoton. It was a good feeling to link up again with my players. They were all unbelievably enthusiastic to begin training. I hope that both the club and team will continue to develop. At the same time it is sad that there will be some players leaving us, who helped us last season in different ways, but contributed a lot to the club's success. I hope that they will continue to develop and help  their new clubs to bigger things. The coaching staff and I are all full of self confidence at the moment. I am sure that this season will also be a very successful one in the life of the club." said Paulo Sousa.
