We could have settled the game in the first half

The two managers shared their thoughts about the match

It is always difficult to play at the home of Kecskemet, as we are talking about a side, which requires maximum concentration, organization and discipline to play against. It was the third time we have played at their ground this season. We managed to win two cup finals here earlier against KTE, and we picked up three very important points in the league today. The weather conditions made things harder for the players, as it is very hard to keep up the intensity, which we would have liked in the hot weather, and what is required in order to be able to win against KTE. Our opponents changed their formation in today's game, and several of their players did not play in their usual positions. We had two good chances in the first half besides the nice goal, which Sandor scored. One of them was stopped by their keeper, while the other hit the post. If these efforts would have gone in, then we could have settled the match already then. We had to be very strong mentally in the second half, to be able to keep up the intensity, discipline and organization, which was needed to get the second goal, as well as to make sure that KTE did not score themselves. Our opponents have very serious strength both individually and as a team. I am very pleased that we picked up the 3 points today.

Török László: I would like to congratulate Videoton FC for their win. These congratulations are worthy as not many sides have been able to leave Kecskemet with the 3 points. It was also not the first time that they have won at the Szektoi stadium. Their quick goal was thanks to the patient and calm way they played. We could not get in behind them, which is why we tried with long range shots, which were unsuccessful. Our outfield play came with plenty of errors. We tried to use all of our strengths in the second half. Balazs Koszo had a chance, but we didn't really have anything else aside of that. One positive in the match was the fact that we had 5 of our own players, that had come through the system out on the pitch.
