Match Report: Vidi lose the final friendly game 3-1

Vidi played their final friendly in Spain against Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon.

Vidi played the last of their friendly games on Saturday before travelling back to Hungary. They were up against German second division side VfB Stuttgart. Joan Carrillo's side lined up as follows: Kovácsik – Fiola, Musliu, Vinícius, Stopira – Nego, Pátkai, Milanov – Kovács István, Futács, Petryak.

Ivan Petryak got hold of the ball after 3 minutes and decided to aim for the far corner from long distance, but it did not find the goal. Stuttgart then took the lead a minute later when Forster remained unmarked inside the box, before controlling it and finding the bottom left corner (0-1).

Gonzalez showed good skill on 11 minutes before powerfully shooting at goal, but Kovacsik did well to save. Petryak got hold of the ball following a defensive mistake a couple of minutes later. He played in Istvan Kovacs whose cross to Futacs was eventually cleared by Bredlow and a defender. Wataru found Gonzalez with a pass and the Argentinian international forward sent a low shot into the net to double the score (0-2).

The game was 25 minutes old when Nego played a one-two with Kovacs. A German defender was able to slide in to force the effort wide of the post. A cross from the left after 36 minutes found Petryak, who centred for Kovacs to head wide.

Akos Elek replaced Georgi Milanov at half time while Stuttgart made several changes including 78 times capped international Mario Gomez. He did not need too much time and in the 53rd minute, Kovacsik saved from Coulibaly but Gomez was on hand to convert the rebound (0-3).

Nego sent a sharp ball into the middle three minutes later, which just evaded Futacs who had slid in. Lyes Houri came on for his debut after 59 minutes. The new signing went forward after 68 minutes and played it on to Petryak, but the Ukrainian winger's cross did not find a team mate. Four minutes later and a cross from Kovacs ended with Petryak finding the back of the net from a tight angle (1-3).

There was no further change to the scoreline and Vidi are next in action next Saturday with a league game against Honved at the MOL Arena Sosto.
