Match Report: Important win against Vasas!

In the 22nd round of the OTP Bank Liga our team hosted Vasas on Saturday evening at the MOL Arena Sóstó. Before the warm-up, our fans talked to our players about the importance of the meeting in front of the RBD sector, and the starting eleven this time was Kovács D. - Nego, Fiola, Larsen, Heister - Csongvai, Flores - Katona, Houri, Schön - Kodro. Before the start, Loic Nego  was welcomed by our sporting director Roland Juhász on the occasion of his 250th NB I match.

The first big chance of the game fell to us and we took the lead in the 15th minute! After Kodro's start, the ball bounced from Berecz to Otigba, who fortunately for us passed to Schön on the left, and our national team winger thanked the assist and calmly shot into the bottom left corner (1-0).

In the 22nd minute, Csongvai's long-range free-kick bounced off the wall and Flores volleyed the rebound over the goal. Four minutes later, Nego's cross was headed over by Csongvai, A minute later Urblík fired over from distance. Unfortunately, after another minute, the Slovakian midfielder made no mistake and from 17 yards, he curled a fine shot into the top left corner (1-1). In the 38th minute, Hidi, who came on as a substitute for Litauszki, missed the target with a close range shot and the first half ended after three minutes of extra time.

The teams did not change at the break and the first situation fell to Vasas, but Nego made a great block on Zimonyi's shot. The next ten minutes saw the H named players threatening: Hinora, Houri and Heister all had shots but none of them threatened the goal. In the 63rd minute Kastrati replaced Katona. A quarter of an hour later we took the lead again! Nego played a cross from the right to Kodró, who calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner from 15 metres (2-1)!

In the 88th minute, Markvárt tried a long range shot, but this time our goalkeeper didn't have to save, and in the last minutes Alef came on for Houri - our Brazilian midfielder made his first appearance for the first team this season after a long injury! In extra time, the goalkeepers didn't have to save, so we kept the three points against Vasas at home! Next week, on Saturday, we will play in Paks at 17:00.
