Istvan Kovacs: I am pleased with the win: we got what we came here for

The midfielder was one of the scorers in Vidi's 6-1 win over Mako on Wednesday.

I would first of all like to congratulate the Mako supporters and club employees, as they created a wonderful atmosphere! As we have said previously, the aim is to win the cup, which we have to do step by step. We have to win matches like these, which is why we took the game very seriously. I am pleased that we won comfortably. Those players who played in today's game had a good chance to show both themselves and the coaching staff in a match situation. Naturally and not underestimating the opponents, I feel that the 6-1 scoreline was a realistic one. Things could have gone even better for both me and the team. but we got what we came here for, which is the most important. We tried to put our opponents under pressure from the start. It was a heavy pitch out there and as we move forward, it will become even harder to play. Fortunately we did not have any problems. The home side also tried to play, so I think that the supporters saw a good match. Today's game was good preparation for Saturday's big league game away at Vasas" - commented Istvan Kovacs.
