We also asked our Argentine striker about his great tackle in the cup match against DVTK.
- We will play against Kecskemét on Sunday afternoon at the Sóstói Stadium. Our opponent has recently changed the coach, but KTE has not climbed out of the hole under the new head coach. What kind of encounter do you expect against them?
We should not be fooled by the table and Kecskemét's current form. I expect a tough match, but on home pitch, in front of our own fans, there can be no question that we will go for the win. In the last matches we have shown that we are mentally very strong and we fight for each other and the club as a real team. Personally, I would only be satisfied with getting 3 points, but I think if you ask anyone in the team, everyone agrees.
- I think your confidence was especially boosted by the cup win against DVTK.
That's right, as you say. It was a wonderful cup night, it's always a great feeling to win, but when you come from behind it's really good for the confidence of the team. Several players who have had fewer opportunities in the league so far came on and everyone actually contributed to the success.
As a striker, the most memorable defensive moment against DVTK was yours, when you managed to clear in front of your own goal at the end of a counter attack and a huge sprint of at least 60 metres, with Diósgyőr leading 1-0.
Well, it's true that I'm primarily an attacker, but I also have defensive responsibilities. In that situation we took a corner kick and I have to look out for the second ball and if the opponent counter-attacks, I either have to stop the attack with a tactical foul or try to tackle. As the Miskolc attacker started from several metres ahead, fouling was not an option and I had to sprint hard, but I managed to catch up with the opponent and I was able to tackle. As I said, we fought as a real team this time and everyone did their part. On Sunday we have to play with the same mentality and then we will have every chance to get another 3 points.
