Andras Gosztonyi talks about his week away with the U21 national side
Andras Gosztonyi turned out for the Hungarian U21 side last Thursday, when they suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Montenegro. Antal Roth's side went down to two last minute goals, in a game that Gosztonyi played in at the Bozsik stadium in Kispest. The majority of players are now to old to play for the U21 side, so a new generation of young players have been picked. Roth decided on the following side to play Montenegro: Gulácsi Péter - Szokol Zsolt, Kádár Tamás, Fiola Attila (Preklet Csaba, 46.), Katona Máté - Simon Ádám (Takács Péter, 46.), Kiss Máté (Egerszegi Tamás, 73.) - Simon Krisztián (Balázs Benjámin, 59.), Gosztonyi András, Bódi Ádám (Balajti Ádám, 59.) - Futács Márkó (Tisclher, 73.)
Gosztonyi: "We watched Friday's game together at the Puskas Ferenc stadium, when Hungary won 8-0. We also went through Thursday's U21 match with Montenegro, together with the coaching staff. It really upset the players that we lost, despite the fact that we are currently undergoing changes as a side. My own view is that we played well, and we attacked more, but we failed to concentrate at the end of the match. We will need to improve on this in the future. We had training on Monday morning, and then travelled over to Slovenia in the aftenoon. Bistrica is south of Maribor, and we will face Slovenia on Tuesday, with kick off at 16:00pm. I hope that we will come back with a result, unlike the Montenegro game. I will then be back with Videoton on Thursday, as we prepare for the weekend match."
