Gosztonyi's winner helps the U21 to victory

The Hungarian U21 had three Videoton players in the starting line up

Antal Roth's Hungarian U21 side beat their Turkish counterparts by a single Andras Gosztonyi goal. The young Turkish side had managed to beat Hungary 2-1 back in Istanbul in the autumn, partly due to two defensive errors. The young U21 side lined up with three Videoton players with Gulácsi Péter - Sváb Dániel, Kálnoki-Kis Dávid, Kádár Tamás, Szolnoki Roland - Simon Ádám, Fiola Attila - Bódi Ádám (Balázs Benjamin, 87.), Kovács István, Gosztonyi András - Futács Márkó (Tischler Patrik, 46.) beginning.

Turkey had the better of the second half showing more of an attacking style, but Antal Roth's youngsters remained firm and focused on the job in hand. Vidi's right sided Andras Gosztonyi ended up securing the win for Hungary with a goal in the 81st minute. Patrik Tischler headed the ball into Gosztonyi's path, who beat the defender before clipping the ball from a tight angle over the keeper into the far corner of the net. The match official blew for full time and a much needed three points was picked up.
