Videoton played out their second pre-season friendly of their Spanish training camp. Gyorgy Mezey's side came up against local side Cadiz CF, in the glorious sunshine, and on a perfect pitch. The facilities, which are roughly 20km from Vidi's base in Spain, was of a high standard. Vidi lined up without Andre Alves, Akos Elek and Martin Izing, who were all rested, due to slight knocks. First team keeper Mladen Bozsovics was also rested as he watched from the stands. Videoton began the game on the attack and they looked the more likelier side to break the deadlock. A move on 7 minutes, involving Szakaly and Hidvegi, ended up with the ball at the feet of Vasziljevics, but he failed to hit the target. The manager of Cadiz CF was then sent to the stands by the referee in the 13th minute, after he contested a penalty decision, which went against his side. Videoton continued to press, with a 23rd minute Gosztonyi free kick ending up with Sandor, but the midfielder was not able to put his side ahead. Brazilian trialist Cesar, could have put the red and blues ahead a minute later, but his shot went inches past the right post.
