Franck Bambock is the new signing for Vidi!

The 28-year-old French defensive midfielder previously played in a training match against Vidi as a PSG player in 2014.

French midfielder Franck Bambock, 28, of Cameroonian origin, has joined our club and will continue his career with us.

The 181 cm tall defensive midfielder was born on the 7th April 1995 in Douala, Cameroon, but moved to France with his family at a young age and started playing football for Antony Sport's youth team before transferring to PSG at the age of 13. He scored one goal in seven UEFA Youth League games, and made his debut for the Parisian second team in 2013, while he was also on the bench for PSG in the French Super Cup final in 2014. Bambock played in the pre-season game against Vidi. In the summer of 2015, he moved to Spanish second division side Huesca, where he made 47 league appearances in two seasons. In the summer of 2017, he continued his career in the Dutch first division, where he played one league game for Sparta Rotterdam, before returning to the Spanish second division side Córdoba in February 2018, but due to administrative problems, he was only able to play for the first team from the summer, and in the autumn season he played in seven league and two cup games.

In January 2019, he continued his career at Israeli first division side Maccabi Petah Tikva, where he played 11 league and 1 cup game in the spring. In the summer, he was signed by Marítimo in the Portuguese top flight, and went on to score two goals and provide one assist in 53 league games over two years. He spent the last two seasons with French second division side Grenoble, where he scored one goal and made two assists in 60 league games and also appeared in five cup matches.

Between 2010 and 2013 he played for the French U16, U17 and U19 national teams, and also appeared for the U17s in the European Championship.

"Vidi have shown a lot of interest in me over the last two-three months and the vision they have given me for the coming seasons has convinced me to join one of Hungary's biggest clubs, which I consider an important step in my career. Interestingly, I have a personal history with Vidi, having played for PSG in the summer of 2014 against Fehérvár, training with the first team as a youngster and coming on as a substitute in a pre-season game. Of course, I looked into the club's history and saw that Vidi had finished in the top three in the league and on the international stage almost every year for the last 10 years, so I'm sure that after a bad season, everyone will be very motivated to do well again. My goal is to give my maximum on the pitch and help the team to achieve its goals," Franck Bambock told our website.
