COACH ASSESSMENT

Bartosz Grzelak and Attila Kuttor thoughts on the match

Bartosz Grzelak and Attila Kuttor faced the media after the final whistle.

Bartosz Grzelak:

"From the beginning to the end, we were able to control today's match. It was an important game for us because we have had some good performances this season, but we hadn't shown it in points before the meeting. The players stuck to their pre-match plans, we talked about, among other things, the reorganisation from attack to defence, which worked well. I felt it was only a matter of time before we took the lead, and we finally did towards the end. After that, I was very pleased with the way we continued the game after 1-0 and overall we saw a very good performance from the team today."

Our head coach was also asked about the substitutions and the role of Zsolt Kalmar.

"I asked the substitutes to stick to the original game plan. I also asked Kastrati to get the ball inside the penalty area, as there are two well-built strikers in Kodro and Levente Szabó waiting to be fed. It's definitely a positive for the future that the substitutes can get into the game well. Zsolt Kalmár had a very good influence on the team. He's a good player, it seems like he's been playing football here for a thousand years, even though this was only his second game as a starter. That is the mark of a quality player. In addition, as we saw today, his set-pieces are life threatening, I have never had a player in my career who could take free kicks and corner kicks like that."

Kuttor Attila:

It was a difficult match. I think it was obvious what our plan was for the game, it was clear before the start that Vidi would dominate the game at home. We had a great chance before both of the goals we conceded, and I'm also sorry that it was a setkpiece that sealed our fate. But I can highlight the fighting spirit, but it is a fact that we still have to build to be more effective..
