In the 5th round of the OTP Bank Liga our team hosted Mezőkövesd Zsóry FC at the Sóstói Stadium. Head coach Bartosz Grzelak sent out the starting eleven of Tóth - Csongvai, Serafimov, Spandler, Fiola - Kalmár, Christensen - Karamoko, Katona, Schön - Kodro to the pitch.
At the end of the first ten minutes, Karamoko and Katona's both had shots that did not pose too much of a threat to the visitors' goal, and in the 12th minute Schön headed a cross from the edge of the box from five metres just wide. We maintained a clear advantage in possession until the half time break, but no real chances were created. Katona missed a 12-metre shot and in the closing stages of the half, after a corner from Kalmár, ended with Kodro missing from close range, and the teams went into the break with a goalless draw.. At the break the visitors made two substitutions, and Christensen tried to shoot twice in the first quarter of an hour of the second half, but missed the first and then shot over. In the 64th minute, a cross from Csongvai was flicked wide by Kodro and Schön's shot from an acute angle was saved by Piscitelli at the near post. In the 71st minute we made a triple substitution, Kastrati, Szabó and Bese came on. Four minutes later Kalmár's shot was pushed onto the post by the visitors' goalkeeper. At the other end, Cseri shot over the top from a counter-attack, and in the 82nd minute, immediately after Flores came on, Kalmár took his fifth corner, and Levente Szabó, rose to put the ball into the net (1-0)! We didn't stop after the goal, Flores' shot in the 88th minute was saved by the Italian goalkeeper and in injury time, however, Piscitelli made a mistake - after an away team corner, Flores played a great ball to Kastrati, who took the ball past the poorly out-stretched goalkeeper and then, after beating Kállai, put the ball into the net (2-0). This great goal ended the match, as we beat Mezőkövesd 2-0!
