Confident victory in the friendly match against Siófok

Taking advantage of the national team break, we played a preparation match against NB II side Siófok on Friday morning at 11 am. Our Swedish head coach Bartosz Grzelak sent out our team with the following line-up: Rockov - Bese, Csongvai, Serafimov, Heister - Pokorny, Alef, Katona - Kastrati, Dárdai, Schön. Our opponents started with Winter - Makrai, Varjas, Vágó, Varga - Szakály, Nyitrai - György, Horváth, Hegedüs - Farkas.

In the fifth minute Kastrati had a great chance, which Winter managed to save, but a minute later the Siofok goalkeeper was helpless when Kastrati hit the rebound into the net after Dárdai's hit the post (1-0).

With 12 minutes of the game played, Alef's long-range shot was saved by Winter, and Katona's follow-up was also saved by the visitors' keeper. After a quarter of an hour, Siófok also threatened, Hegedűs' 16-metre shot went wide, and ten minutes later Dárdai headed the ball at goal, with Winter making a great save. In the 28th minute, Heister's shot from distance was saved by the visiting goalkeeper, and in the 34th minute, Farkas' shot was saved by Rockov, the rebound was shot over the goal by György. With a minute left in the first half, Kastrati's excellent cross was headed into the net by Dárdai from close range (2-0).

The second half started with a great situation for Kastrati, our Kosovo forward hit his effort from 16 meters after a nice trick, the Siofok goalkeeper made a smart save. In this period Kojnok, Menyhárt, Pető, Szabó, Berekali and Ambach also came on the pitch - the latter player was making his first team debut. 

In the 62nd minute, we increased our lead further, following a free kick from the wing, Bese headed onto the post, the rebound was converted under the bar by Alef from close range (3-0). The final score of 4-0 was set by Dárdai in the 65th minute, who received a good ball from Schön at the end of a nice attack. 

Our team will play next Sunday at 16:30 at the home of FTC in the next round of the OTP Bank Liga NB I.
