Admira win through a Vastic header

The first friendly match of the Spanish training camp took place on Friday midday. Videoton played Austrian side Admira Wacker. The game was divided into two thirty minute periods with Henning Berg choosing the following team: Zöldesi - Sejben, Pölöskei, Varga Bence, Szolnoki - Solomun, Lénárt, Oliveira, Bódi - Barczi, Bévárdi.

The first danger on goal arrived from the Austrians with Fabio Strauss hitting a long range effort, which was palmed away for a corner by keeper Zoldesi. With 16 minutes on the clock, Oliveira showed good skill before releasing Bodi, who setup Szolnoki, but the defenders shot did not find the target. Knasmullner then sent his 30 meters shot over the bar. There was still time in the opening period for Barczi to play in Bodi, but Leitner was quick to react and he cleared the danger ahead of the winger. Zoldesi then pulled off a smart stop 4 minutes later after an Admira corner found Monschein. The young keeper was again in the action when he denied Storkl' low shot. 

Admira made several changes at the break. Former Bayern Munich player Toni Vastic was one to come on against a young Videoton side. The Austrian side were awarded a free kick within 4 minutes of the restart. Zoldesi did well to save a curling Toth shot as the score remained goaless. The young Vidi keeper was again alert and did well to deny a Schmidt shot from 17 meters. There were 19 minutes on the clock when Barczi found himself with a shot on goal, but Wostry blocked his effort with the ball heading towards the bottom corner. 

Zoldesi could do nothing after 56 minutes when a Posch cross from the right was headed into the back of the net by Vastic. Toth had another curling free kick go close but there was no further change to the score. Vidi will play their second friendly of the day at 16:00pm with a match against Dinamo Bucharest.
