Adam Farkas will referee Wednesday's Hungarian cup first leg

The attention switches to the Hungarian cup with the first leg at the Sostoi stadium.

The 31 year old match official joined the division two group of referee's back in 2007. He stepped up to the first division a year later, before making his debut in the MTK - Kaposvar match on the 21st February 2009. He has been voted top official of the year twice over recent seasons.

It is interesting to note that Adam Farkas was the first match official in Hungary, who refereed a key game involving two assistant referee's, a fourth official and two further offcials behind each goal. This took place in the Debrecen - Vidi League cup quarter final match last March.

Farkas was most recently in charge of the match, which saw Vidi win 2-1 away at Papa. He will be assisted in Wednesday's game by Attila Kelemen and Gabor Varga, while the fourth official will be Laszlo Varga.
