The Norwegian coach leaves the club after a year in charge.
Videoton FC and Henning Berg have mutually ended the contract between them. Videoton finished the 2016/17 season in second place in the OTP league. They were knocked out of the Hungarian cup at an early stage.
Henning Berg added: “It was a disappointment with the cup exit and the league results, when we were so close. However, I am pleased with the development of the team and to have scored the most goals and also conceded the least, which would normally win you the league title. I have enjoyed my time as a head coach of Videoton FC over the last year. I would like to thank the players, staff and management for the efforts this season and I wish them all the best. Finally I would like to thank our fans for their support and help throughout the year.”
The Norwegian coach arrived in Szekesfehervar in May 2016. He managed the club in 33 league and 3 Hungarian cup games. There was also an additional 6 Europa League matches during his period in charge.
We would like to thank Henning Berg for his work and wish him the best of luck in his continued career!
